This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students attend high school in a very rural community. They are smart, motivated and full of life, but they are often limited by the resources they have available to them. The majority of my students are from low-income households. We are a 100% free-lunch school due to the poverty level of the county. High school can be challenging enough, and I would like for my students to have one less thing to worry about. I care about my students and want them to succeed. I am committed to helping them achieve their goals.
My Project
By funding this project, you will give my students the opportunity to fuel their bodies so they can be productive in their work. Snacks between meals help students remain focused and engaged in class. Snacking is important for physical health as well as emotional health. The items I have selected are my students FAVS! The cart will be used to store the snacks. My students enjoy receiving snacks when they are working. I like to keep snacks on hand for this purpose.
I really appreciate your support and I am so thankful that you are helping to provide snacks to my students!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
