Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Inside my classroom, you will see students that span across the Autism spectrum. Our school is located in a low income area in the Bronx.

Everyone in my classroom works hard to create a positive learning environment for the students.

In order for my classroom to run smoothly, we have a structured environment where students have clear visual boundaries for different areas. Each student learns differently and we adapt everything to meet their individual needs.

We strive hard for our students to succeed and become independent!

My Project

Having mentor texts in a classroom is a great way to improve reading and writing. All these books will become mentor texts. We will use these books to introduce new reading and writing strategies. This will help improve my students overall literacy.

Technology plays an important role in every classroom.

We are fortunate enough to have a smart board in our classroom. But when it comes to reading books aloud to my students, they cant always see the illustrations or the words. Having a dot cam will let the students see everything that I am reading and help them become engaged in the work that we are doing.

The Eggspert is a great way to help my students review and get ready for tests. Having this in my classroom will make learning fun!

The wireless doorbell will help with classroom management. Sometimes my students can get a little too loud at times. This way every time they hear the doorbell go off they will know that it is a reminder to quiet down.

All these materials will help improve my students learning!
