Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach kindergarten in a Saint Paul Public School. It is a program in Spanish Immersion. Our community is very close, parents try to be the most involved in their children's learning and my students are always willing to learn in a second language.

My Project

The purpose of requesting these materials is to help my students have another option during small group time. Soft seat will help them be more comfortable when they do their work away from a table or chair and must be setting on the floor. The jumbo magnetic ten frames, will be very helpful for small group math as they will help students have manipulatives to develop counting, addition and subtraction strategies. The fidget poppers will be very helpful for our regulation zone. Children have a very creative imagination that is why my wish is that in the class we have a game of Magna-Tiles, I know that my students will make incredible creations and it will be a lot of fun for them. Each of these materials have a place and a purpose for having them in our classroom. They will be used with love responsibility and care.
