Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to work accomplish the tasks at hand and feel comfortable and supported in how they learn best. Currently students are limited to working at their desk or sitting on the floor. Providing more comforatble choices for flexible seating increases the motivation to work and stay on task in class. Creating a working environment where they choose where the work in important because they need to learn to work in various locations and situation because in the real world they will have those oppurtunities.

Allowing students to choose their seating allows them to be accountable for where they sit, the work they complete and the behaviors the choose while in class.

I have selected several items that will slowly allow my students to experience felxible seating. having a carpet for students to sit at a short table will allow them a little cushion form the hard tile floor. The chair bands allow all student to have access to a fidgit if needed. I have selected the surf tables to allow students to sit closer to the board on the floor if needed.

I truly feel that students given the choice to work comfortably will produce better quality work, high class moral as well as student accountablity for learning.
