Learning About Plant Life Up Close and Hands On

My Project

My students are an amazing group of natural scientists. They are curious, observant, and great questioners. They love learning about - and caring for - smaller living things.

Students are fascinated by the incredibly diverse array of plants in the Science classroom, and are learning to appreciate each living things purposeful structures.

Having a wide variety of plant samples, living and dried, sparks their curiosity, and brings more life into our classroom! A long extension cord will get our hydroponic tower up and running.

When we add in the many seed pod and leaf samples students have shared with me, and the variety of small birds' nests I have found, the opportunities for scientific observation are limitless.

Plants in all stages make our learning space more engaging, more peaceful, and more beautiful.
