Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in music class have been working very hard over the past year to learn as much as they can about rhythms, songs, instruments, and so much more. They love to play games and perform for each other when they have the opportunity. Each time a student steps out of their comfort zone to perform a song, play their instrument, or even just answer a question I like to reward them by giving them a prize or sticker.

Any donations for these prizes will further encourage my students that they do not have to be afraid to perform or sing in music class.

We do individual performances in class on the daily from PreK all the way to 8th grade band! Even the older students enjoy getting to pick a prize out for performing in class! It is so amazing to watch an anxious student become an outgoing one through the course of just one year.

The stuffed animals will be used for an activity we call "Beat Buddies". Having a physical object students can feel and see allows them to rhythms and steady beat. We would love to use this in class as a way to differentiation how students work on their gross motor skills.
