My Project

I am the K-12 School Librarian for my school! We don't have many books about the Lunar New Year and I created this project to get more picture books, some fun Bingo games, scratch off tickets, and coins for a fun Lunar New Year celebration at school.

Learning about different cultures, celebrations, and other holiday's around the world is such a valuable experience for children.

I think having books that the students can check out, we can read about during library class, and use for years to come has so much value to their learning and understanding of the world around them. Most of these materials would be used for years to come by students. We will use the bingo games for many years as well. I want to create a fun week to celebrate and help my students learn more about the Lunar New Year!
