Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are brilliant. I am constantly taken aback by their awareness and depth of analysis. They're compassionate, ambitious, and sociable. My students are highly diverse, and they are proud to bring their unique cultures and experiences to the classroom, applying them to the curriculum, and using them as the foundations of their personal goals. My school is filled with dedicated students, teachers, and staff who have worked hard to overcome the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in our community, but we could still use some help covering costs of supplies for students.

My Project

My students in the past have shown difficulty in grasping grammar concepts and holding that knowledge throughout the year. These grammar posters will help anchor their learning and give visible cues throughout the school year to allow them to reference and practice these skills easily.

These scholars also use their laptops daily in my classroom.

With over 30 students in many classes and non-working electrical outlets, extra surge protectors will help give all students easy access to the online resources we will use. Many of these resources are essential to students accessing readings and using the language and annotation tools necessary to understand them.
