Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students have limited space and materials for recess time at our school. Because of these limitations, many of them find themselves unhappy or in conflict. Having educational games at recess will give them the opportunity to engage in creative play and will allow for students to work together.

We are requesting various educational games to fill the gap between what is provided by the school and what the students are requesting.

It is frequently heard in the classroom that running around a small outdoor space is not fun.

For play time to be a success, students need a variety of ways to participate and express themselves, including through games. When students are given the opportunity to express their thoughts through various mediums, they are able to stretch their thinking. Having games at recess will give students an opportunity to collaborate and communicate with peers in a unique way. This will help to strengthen their social-emotional well-being and will build their imagination.

In a time when bullying is common in schools throughout the country, we want to promote more positive interactions among our students, especially during their play time. Please fund our project for educational games so we can provide structured play that allows students to put their mental energy toward a creative end.
