Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are starting to show a lot of interest in reading books to take AR test. Our classroom library is very limited on a variety of books and the technology to use to take AR test.

We have 2 Chromebooks in our room when they aren’t checked out for students for Distance Learning.

Students have to wait for a Chromebook and with the limited time set aside for AR, they often don’t get to take the test on their books on the day the finish their book.

My Project

Having the Fire HD tablets will allow more students to have access to take AR Test as well as other Math, Reading and Spelling resources. Our classroom only has 2 devices for 23 students. The students are getting excited about reading books and taking quizzes to reach their individual AR Goal.

The students would like to be able to test on the same day that they finished the book, but, with limited time and resources that isn’t always possible.

We have an allotted timeframe set aside for reading books of their choice and taking quizzes on the books and having more devices per student would benefit them greatly.
