My Project

As a Movement Teacher I would like a new Samsung Smart TV to assist in implementing daily movement lesson.

In today’s world it is challenging to be without technology.

Smart boards, iPad, computers plays a huge role in education. I work in a Special Education setting where my students face many challenges. Most of which are on the autism spectrum. Which means there are multiple learning style among students. Most of my students learns best through visual mediums. Everything that they are being taught needs visual modeling/demonstrations. The Smart TV became a necessity and plays a huge role in the movement class.

The daily schedule for the movement class consist of Monday Zumba, Tuesday Obstacle Course, Wednesday Yoga, Thursday Step Aerobics fitness, and Fridays free style dancing/Fun Friday. Each of these activities requires a visual video presentation for the students to follow. This will promote student engagement because students will be motivated to follow the direction they view on the TV screen through the Laptop. The students gets very excited when music are playing they became lively and began to move to the beat. My goal is to reach each individual student and help them meet their physical needs’ goals. In order to succeed, I have to meet the students on their level and go from there. Please allow me to continue to help my little flowers flourish to the best of their abilities.
