My students and I have recently discovered "Numberblocks" and it is a preferred series to watch during daily snack time. Numberblocks are animated math characters who build, make, decompose, add, and subtract themselves to make other numbers in episodes as they solve problems.
My students want to play with Numberblocks and tell math stories of adding and subtracting like the ones we see.
My project is asking for Numberblock games and manipulative cubes so that we can engage with math in a new and fun way. The games use the Numberblock cube characters to add more, identify numbers, match numbers and sequence numbers from least to greatest. All these skills are helping students learn our standards through play based activities.
