Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Children best learn in color! They explore the world around them and it is in color. My special education prek students with varying disabilities need picture labels, and colorful printed activities to learn.

The prek center unfortunately does not have a color printer allotted to the special ed classroom.

I want to give my preschool special ed students the best chance at learning with vibrant materials such as colorful learning mats, visuals, desk charts, etc.

Lastly, the children are nonverbal. They are learning to speak with low tech communication devices such as printed visuals placed throughout the classroom. These visuals are more effective in color!
