Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With your help my students with disabilites will have th opportunity to learn through play and hands-on learning. With your help, my students will be able to use a variety of tools collaborating with their peers while at the same time learning how to share. Pretend play can help students with autism develop social skills, problem-solving abilities, and more. This is why I am requesting tools that will help them paint, color, draw, and play using hands-on learning. This is why I am requesting pretend play, paint, playdoh, kinestetic Sand, wooden toys, sensory toys, moldable sand, and bins to store the materials in order to have different centers where my students will be able to collaborate with each other and complete the activity. Pretend play can help children learn to interact with others, understand social norms, and navigate different social situations. It can also help children develop empathy and compassion by helping them understand the perspectives of others. Pretend play can help children develop problem-solving skills by requiring them to think quickly and make decisions in imaginative scenarios. Pretend play can help children develop their creativity.

In addition, these materials will support students with Autism.

In my self-contained classes, I have students who are non-verbal and are hands-on learners. They will benefit from using these materials to learn. These tools will support kinesthetic learners, visual, auditory, and reflective. This is why I am requesting different numbers of centers they can use also bins to store the materials.
