This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

All of my students are in intervention due to low comprehension skills.

My students are limited and lack understanding of number relationships with computation and problem-solving skills. Additional support with fact families, and using number sentences to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems is critically needed. Supplementary aid and guidance in selecting the proper operation to solve mathematical and real-world problems will help to develop a deeper understanding.

My Project

iPads are needed to accommodate the students in my classroom. We recently received several students from Puerto Rico. They aren't fluent in English and need some additional assistance in learning English. Most of the time my students have to wait for their chance to work on the computers in the classroom, which causes frustration and agitation; often this creates a blockage to the learning process.

Waiting to get a turn on the computer or iPad can cause anxiety and frustration which makes learning somewhat difficult!

Many of my students are anxious to get their turn on the computers and iPads to access the various apps which are available to them. The necessity to finish assigned lessons in the Waterford Learning Program can be accomplished by all with the additional technical apparatus.
