Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are serious computer scientists in the making! My Mobile Apps students are highly motivated and passionate about technology. In our class, we learn by doing and experimenting with code. Programming can be frustrating, however, we finetune our skills with every "bug" in our program.

We are on our way to getting certified as Microsoft Office Specialists; 75% of those who took all three tests in our last cohort reached this goal.

We are getting job ready and preparing to be leaders and tecnologists of tomorrow.

My Project

No longer will computer science be dry and abstract. Students will step into creator mode as they use the Kano kits to make their very own computer.

Our AP students our using a rigourous curriculum made by Harvard to prepare for their AP exam and these kits are a wonderful and engaging way for them to learn about computer science.

No longer will learning about the internal machanics of a computer-- a foundational concept in somputer science be difficult to understand. With the Kano computer kits, students will make their own computer, making these concepts come to life. Making their own computer will make their lesson on hardware exciting, fun and memorable.
