My Students

We have a wonderful group of Kindergartners at our school! The kids are awesome! They work so hard to get a good head start to school in the early years. They come from very diverse backgrounds as well which is something that makes our school special. At our school rigor is emphasized, even in the early years so these supplies will help us make the environment rich and warm for children and show them what an adventure learning can be each day they come to school.

My Project

These supplies are fun and engaging and will help us keep the children engaged while they are also learning. We are excited to have all of these new things in our classroom to show the kids some new strategies to remembering words and some activities for keeping our brains wired and ready to go. The "Let's Get Moving" activity will serve as a brain break for our class which is often needed in Kindergarten. The dot markers are something kids LOVE! We use them constantly in mazes where we practice counting to 100 or when we build cvc words...we dot the correct letters. It makes learning fun and keeps the kids on their toes and interested in what we are doing each day. We also really hit sight words hard in Kinder. We call them pink piggy words. The sight word steps will help us reinforce sight words in our daily practice and also help us turn practice into something fun. Thank you for your consideration.
