My Students

My students are curious, creative, and eager to engage with peers for in person learning experiences. Their vast backgrounds lend to a broad perspective of society and the world around us. In this suburban setting and small school district, there are about 80-100 students per grade level with 4-5 classrooms per grade level.

Learn by doing is a shared philosophy as the students are engaged when participating in projects as opposed to being lectured about experiences.

If you think back to your most memorable learning experiences while in school, I would guess these experiences involved you as a student doing something more than sitting while listening to an educator.

My Project

Diverse texts that focus on helping students understand cultural differences and acceptance are vital to my students learning about racial equality. Their vast backgrounds lend to a broad perspective of society and the world around us.

My students will have the opportunity to celebrate their identities with the multicultural art supplies & read about racial equality with the diverse protagonist books.

Students will use the art supplies to express their emotions and feelings after reading their about racial equality. The books will be read by students to help them understand cultural differences and acceptance of all cultures.
