Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In today’s educational landscape, computers have become indispensable tools for educators tasked with creating lesson plans. Firstly, the ability to access a vast array of resources and curriculum online allows teachers to gather and integrate diverse materials into their lesson plans. From educational videos to real time feedback for students and teachers, technology provides access and equity to enhance lesson content and engage students.

As the literacy instructional coach at Tubman, I leverage technology daily to enhance our professional development initiatives, develop curricular maps, and design unit plans.

I create and refine yearlong literacy plans for grades 2-5, analyze online test data, and facilitate the sharing of resources and files throughout the school. Additionally, I manage and maintain our staff-facing website, ensuring that all resources are current and easily accessible for teachers.

Being able to view and share information between a teacher and an instructional coach is an essential part of effective collaboration. Educators can utilize software applications designed specifically for lesson planning, enabling them to structure their ideas coherently and systematically.

Additionally, computers enable educators to assess and analyze student performance more effectively. Through various software tools and platforms, teachers can collect data on student learning outcomes, track progress over time, and identify areas where students may need additional support. This data-driven approach allows educators to tailor their lesson plans to address specific challenges, ultimately fostering a more personalized learning experience for students. In essence, the integration of computers into lesson planning not only enhances the quality of education but also empowers educators to create more engaging, relevant, and effective learning environments.
