My Students

Do you remember how boring it was to just listen to your teacher read everything to you? My students have opportunities to hear celebrities read online at several sites and they read to each other as well. The LeapFrog Tag system will give them even more!!

I have a FABULOUS bunch of 1st grade students who are eager to learn and so enthusiastic about everything around them.

They make me excited about getting up everyday to come in and teach them! They live in the totally wonderful state of Georgia and love exploring the world around them in every way I can give them.

My Project

I can't wait to be able to give this to the students I teach to given them an additional way to learn to read! My students will be able to sit and listen to a book at their own pace, then eventually read the books and only need the Tag for particular words they don't know, and finally they will be able to read these books independently because they have learned HOW to READ! The books are very colorful and fun. They include songs to go with the pictures and also have learning activities for the students to do in addition to reading the books. I just know they will LOVE being able to use the LeapFrog Tag system and that it will help them in their quest for learning to read!!

1st grade is such an important year in teaching.

Students learn the basics for what they need for the rest of their lives - the fundamentals of reading, writing, and the basic math facts and objectives. Please help me give them the best start possible!
