My Project

Students will use the dissection of frogs to learn about the internal structures of animals. It will engage the students in learning about the levels of organization in living things. Students will be able to see how cells make up tissue, how tissue makes up an organ, how organs make up an organ system, and how organ systems make up an organism. Students will be able to see how all body systems work together to maintain homeostasis.

After completing the dissection, students will be able to develop an argument supported by evidence for how multicellular organisms are organized by varying levels of complexity.

This project requests enough frogs to allow students to work in pairs. As a result, students will be more attentive to instructions and details of the lab.
