Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a high poverty, high needs public school. A school that is in dire need to your generous support to get our students the materials they need to grow from students to young adults.

Students will read Mockingjay by Suzanne and use the information they gather and lead a presentation and also complete this after school in our Anti-Bullying Club.

Recent budget cuts have limited and constrained what our students can and cannot read. Students in my school chose the book "Mockingjay" to read but with the budget cuts we were unable to purchase these books. We can not afford these titles and I fear without these books students will lose interest in reading and not be prepared for college. ABC Family is looking to fund projects that are student led. Students will read the book and present it to their classmates leading them to read more.

My Project

This title will allow students to explore the storyline that they may be unfamiliar with. Your help and your help alone will allow my students the opportunity to read this book. These titles offer my students an opportunity to read about a topic they chose to read about. Allow my students to read a book that they voted to read and a book that will allow them to prepare for college. This book will prepare get them through high school but it will prepare them for college instilling in them the necessary skills a college student needs to survive.

You, donor, can make the difference and take steps to better the lives of my students.

Help make a difference in our school and help my students take lead of a project and implement it. Your funding of this project can and will change my student's lives. Help fund this classic title.
