This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As this year new Special Ed Teacher at our school, I have the wonderful opportunity of teaching eager, sweet and curious young minds in a self-contain class for 1st and 2nd grade bridge.

I am so excited to begin this new adventure with my students while our school has over 95% of students with minority background, and nearly all from low-income household.

As teacher I see my students need to increase their literacy skills but, we lack of any kind/basic of classroom library that can foster/support their learning for the current school year.

My Project

As a teacher, I am excited to teach an exceptional class of special needs 1st and 2nd graders this year. However, our classroom is tiny and lacks a whiteboard or surface for me to work on anchor charts and modeling writing or math problems. Without adequate space, I am afraid my special students might not reach their full potential.

So, in this project, I am requesting a Mobile Whiteboard that will allow me to model writing, math problems and create anchor charts together with students, impacting greatly their learning.

According to scientific research in education and early childhood development, modeling writing, math problems, and creating anchor charts with your classes can significantly impact students' learning. Using these powerful learning strategies can help students move to the next level in their learning and education.

All the support and help you can provide will immensely help us. As an educator, I feel passionate about working with my students and helping them succeed inside and outside of the classroom.
