Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My leadership students will take these blank t-shirts and bags and turn them into customized creations to promote mental, emotional, and physical wellness. Students will research various wellness topics and choose which topics are most relevant to our student body. Students will then create a promotional campaign that addresses their chosen wellness topic, advertising it with t-shirts they design and create themselves using Canva, our sublimation printer, and heat press.

Our students come from challenging economic conditions and our Title I school doesn't have much funding like schools in wealthier districts do: if we are going to provide our students with blank t-shirts in multiple sizes, we'll need lots of help!

Not only will my students feel proud of their designs, but we'll also give encouragement to struggling students, bringing often overlooked wellness concerns front of mind.
