My Project

I love my students' imaginations, their burgeoning sense of empathy, and their resilience. Many are from low-income households and are confronted with the cascade of challenges that follow, such as housing and food insecurity.

Giving them the tools to convey their stories is immensely empowering.

The camera and video equipment we've listed will allow them to explore their self-selected topics through the dynamic medium of film. Each student is then taught how to edit a video and create a 3-6 minute documentary film. In sharing their message self-worth is affirmed and projected.

Equity Focus
