My Project

I absolutely love how passionate and full of potential my students are. Each day, they come into class eager to grow as leaders, ready to make a difference in our school and community. My students are not just future leaders—they’re leading today by stepping up to create a more connected and welcoming school environment.

The specific resources I’m requesting—a class set of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and accompanying workbooks—will empower my students to develop lifelong habits that will not only make them more effective leaders but also stronger students and individuals.

By engaging in a structured book study, they will learn to take initiative, work collaboratively, and manage their time and responsibilities effectively. These are skills they will carry through their years in our 7-12 school and beyond.

This project’s primary goal is to equip our 7th-grade student leaders with the tools they need to contribute meaningfully to our school community. By starting this leadership journey in middle school, these students will lay a foundation of positive habits and strong connections that will grow as they progress through high school.

What makes my students truly special is their commitment to making our school a better place for everyone. They are part of a small, close-knit community, and their efforts to foster kindness, inclusivity, and school spirit are already making a difference. With these resources, I know they will rise to the challenge of becoming role models not just for their peers but for our entire school. I am confident that this project will amplify their impact, helping them to become not just effective leaders but outstanding individuals.
