Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My scholars attend a school where more than 50% of the scholars come from low-income households. These materials will help my scholars increase their confidence by providing them with concrete manipulatives that they can use to give them an in-depth understanding of the content we have learned. These materials will enable my future scholars to also be able to get an in-depth understanding of the content which working it into their long term memory. These tangible materials is something that the future scholars at my school will use to push their understanding. The lights that I have ordered will be used within my calm corner for my scholars who need a mental break as I teach an inclusion classroom. The treasure box materials will be used as incentives for the scholars to continue to strive for their academic excellence. I will also be conducting science experiments. The lights will be used within the science station rotations to alert the scholars when the center is done. I also have several scholars who are autistic and the lights will be used to calm them down.
