Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

5th grade classroom teacher who has the passion to teach students to be successful in their academic world.

My students live in a high poverty area. I feel that they have the same right to get the best education as any suburb student gets. I teach my students that they can grow up to be anything they want to be if they just work hard and get good grades. In my years of teaching I have never seen students get so excited by seeing their lessons on a smart board or even a screen. They are engaged in the lessons all the way through. I also like to give them the opportunity to learn power point, and create presentations that are meaningful to them.

The one thing I am asking for is a LCD projector. This projector will benefit my students in many ways. They will be engaged in my lessons and eager to learn. They will also be eager to learn how to create their own presentations and how to use power point. I feel having interactive lesson for students to engage in is the best way to get them to learn.

Your help will ensure that my students will be excited to learn and let their imagination come alive with this gift. My students will use this projector everyday for their lessons and for their individual assignments and presentations. Thank you in advance for your support!
