My Students

Picture this, a classroom of 20 six-year-olds staring at you, eager to soak up any information being taught! They are excited and energetic, despite the fact that many of them come from families with very little. I want my students to have the best resources in front of them all the time!

My students are from a high poverty area of DC.

Teachers are dedicated to ensuring students have the best of what's around and students are excited to learn and grow. Every day I walk into school, I am greeted by the best-smiling six-year-olds around. It is my job to make sure I am doing everything I can to set them up for successful school careers that lead to the amazing lives that they want and deserve.

My Project

We are trying to get a larger smart TV in our classroom to help all our students be able to see better!

The smaller TV worked great, but some students are really having trouble seeing!

A larger TV would ensure that all students have access to the content. In Covid times we have to be spread further apart. This makes is difficult for everyone to see when some students are at the back of the classroom. We project all sorts of things on the TV including educational videos, movement breaks, directions for activities, lesson content and so much more. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
