My Project

Students are intrigued by anchor charts printed in color in the classroom. Black and white charts do not make a visual impact on a students mind. Anchor charts printed in color make the impression on the brain which makes for a lasting image in their minds. They are a guide to help students work better, they make lessons fun and memorable. They help provide reference to work that has already been taught by helping to recap important information that needs to be remembered.

Anchor charts that are printed in color would be great reference points for the students.

Students can get bogged down with too much information posted around the classroom. The charts that are printed in vivid colors make an impression and will be remembered. We would love to have a chart maker printer for our classroom which will also be shared by the other teachers on our grade.

Our new reading and writing program HMH Into Reading has many simple, beautiful charts that are already created and can be used by the students. This chart maker printer will allow us to do this with ease. We can even make mini charts for the students to put in their notebooks so they can reference them at home. Our class is an ICT class which includes 20 general education students (60%) and 12 special education students (40%). There are 32 students in our classroom and each and every one needs to be able to see and use our anchor charts. Our school is a Title One school with more than 75% of the students eligible for free lunch. Visual image is a very important part of learning and will really assist our students this year.
