My Students

I love that despite the challenges my students are facing they’re still always optimistic, willing to learn, and caring. My students are competitive yet they love one another as family. They all have big dreams to live a better life and to help their family. These are young children that want more out of life for themselves and their family. I love that even the students that are not on level, never give up. Even on my “bad” days my students can cheer me up instantly. They are grateful for every and anything they receive and they get excited about the smallest things like getting a stamp for winning a game.

My Project

The use of these laptops will ensure that my students will be able to utilize our mandated computer intervention programs, such as iReady. This program is tailored to bridge the educational gaps in individual students based on their identified strengths and weaknesses. The students will also be able to utilize MyOn which exposes the students to over 1,000 books and answer a few comprehension questions for each book they read.

The headphones will allow them to be more focused and attentive.

A few of my students are required to be on iReady for about 75 minutes a week and therefore the program needs their undivided attention.
