My Students

The students who attend my high school are excited and enthusiastic learners. They each have their own challenges but are willing work to find solutions to overcome them.

Our school serves students in grades 9-12 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.

The students are diverse in every sense of the word. They have a real love of technology but the school is severely lacking in the technology to get them to the next level.

My Project

There is a rich world of technological tools that can enhance math learning, especially during this time of distance learning. Also, technology in the home can allow students to apply mathematical thinking to Computer Science. Unfortunately, some of the students cannot take advantage of these because they do not have access to computers at home. I would like to create a laptop loaner program to give all students the opportunity to succeed in math and computer science.

Math and computer science are very important skills for the future, but not having access to computers can hamper students' learning.

All students have the right to learn and with these three laptops, students will have access to 21st-century learning. Students will be able to borrow these laptops to work on projects at home to create an equitable playing field.
