Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my students' native language is Spanish. This has a huge impact on their reading performance. My students are eager to learn, but they sometimes face challenges and get discouraged because of their reading ability, and language background.

I teach my students to have a growth mindset and to always believe in themselves.

They are hard workers, and are very enthusiastic about learning new things. My students love to work collaboratively, and have discussions based on the topic at hand. Not only do they learn from me, but they are always learning from each other!

I'm excited to see how I can push my students to grow this school year.

My Project

Technology is very limited in my classroom this year. My students need laptops so that they can get on educational programs needed to help them grow as learners.

Most of my students are English language learners and struggling readers.

They need computers to make learning more understandable, engaging, and most importantly to reinforce what was taught in class.

By donating to my classroom, you will be helping my students in many ways. Kids today are comfortable and advanced when it comes to technology, so not only will you be helping them learn you will also be building their confidence and self esteem about education.
