My Students

I teach gifted students at our Title I school.

They are independent, motivated students who "geek out" on opportunities to use technology in innovative ways. Whether it is conducting online research, creating a game using code, or publishing artwork or writing on the Internet, these students love using technology as a tool to achieve their goals and show off their creativity.

My Project

My students will be able to use these laptops in a variety of ways. They will be able to conduct research and independent learning projects, practice writing code, present information to small groups, share and collaborate on projects, work on projects for our local and state technology competition, and so much more! I plan to use the literature organizer as a make-shift charging station; the "cubbies" are just the right size for these HP laptops!

The current technology in our classroom is outdated.

The laptops we do have are quite old and so unreliable we rarely use them. There is a great need to integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum and learning experience, but that can only happen with updated, reliable technology. Thank you so much for your interest, involvement, and support!
