My Students

I teach Kindergarten at a Title I elementary school where all students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Our students come from a multitude of diverse backgrounds and cultures. While they come from different places they all share the same goals. These goals include academic achievement and language acquisition.

My classroom is filled with wonderful little ones who all want to learn and have fun doing it.

Technology is a powerful hook for all children and with the right educational sites and apps I can ensure they are getting the best language and math differentiated experiences. Having computers in the classroom can help me teach them 21st century skills so they can compete and achieve.

My Project

My students all are challenged with learning the English language as well as adjusting to their first year in school. Students need to be ready for world beginning in Kindergarten. Technology is a powerful way for me to better differentiated my lessons and their learning activities.

I'm requesting four HP Chromebook laptop computers which will be used in a variety of ways to support my students' language acquisition and general knowledge.

I'll create different learning centers where students can access education websites such as PSB Kids and Starfall. When students are excited about learning it becomes more meaningful and more effective.

Computers will be around for a very long time and students need to be able to handle this technology and be exposed to it at a young age. By supplying my classroom with these computers you will be helping them grow and achieve higher goals than they would without the computers.
