My Students

My class includes 33 wonderful 3rd grade students who are eager to learn!

Many of my students do not have access to technology at home, however, there are many wonderful resources that could support and enhance their learning in the classroom and prepare them to be college and career ready. My school is small and in a close knit but high need community in Baltimore City.

My Project

Technology in the classroom can be used for a variety of activities. It can be used to differentiate instruction, allow students the opportunity to collaborate, provide students with access to unlimited academic and cultural information, and create an effective and efficient home-school connection. With our classrooms becoming ever more diverse, differentiated instruction is an important strategy that classroom teachers must use to meet the needs of their diverse learners. My students will use the two laptops to respond to books on our classroom blog, conduct research for writing assignments, practice math facts, and participate in intervention programs on the laptops to support skills they are struggling with.

The only thing standing between my students and what supports classroom technology provides are two laptops.

With the two laptops, my students will become digital citizens who are prepared for future success in college and careers.
