My Project

Our FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team is in the middle of Build Season. We have until our competition at the end of March to design, build, program, and practice with the robot. We want to ensure that we arrive at the event with a robot and a team that is ready to compete.

We need a laptop that can run the driver station, as well as one that can handle running CAD programs and compiling the code to deploy to the robot.

Having a laptop that isn't weighed down with the monitoring and control software that comes standard on any school-provided devices will ensure that we don't waste valuable development time trying to hunt down and troubleshoot issues unrelated to the code the students are trying to test. And having a machine that can run CAD software at a reasonable speed will help us be able to plan our build.
