Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a group of 17 fifth grade inquisitive, motivated, talented and energetic students. These students participate and excel in the rigorous Cambridge program offered at our school. My students come from many different economic backgrounds and have working parents that sometimes cannot offer much assistance at home. Our school is a Title I school and 90% of my class receive free or reduced-price lunch.

During these difficult times, these students have shown flexibility and a love of learning.

I am very proud of this group!

My Project

The use of computers is a necessary activity in our class. My students need to log in on a daily basis in order to access the different learning platforms that are available to them. Having a laptop in our classroom will allow my students to complete the work assigned to them as well as to work on their ready which is a very critical program designed to help them improve their Reading and Mathematical skills.

The donations to this project will assist my students in meeting their technology needs as well as help them improve in those critical areas!

During the difficult times that we are facing at this moment, laptops are critical for all teachers and students since we can be asked to go and complete online schooling at any point due to COVID-19 exposure.
