My Project

My students are very special to me. This is my first full year of teaching so this is the first class that I've had from September to June. I am vey excited with the progress that they have made over the school year. It was a struggle in the beginning because they just returned to school from the COVID pandemic, but now I'm seeing great progress. My students come from low-income families. Most are from Haitian and Hispanic descent and some have special needs.

The school was able to get laptops this year but now we need carts to store and charge them in.

Each class was given 10 laptops to use throughout the day. Some students bring their own device but majority do not. Therefore, it is definitely helpful to have some laptops in the room for easy access. Currently, the laptops are stored in the assistant principal's office and we have to retrieve them and return them daily. This project helps us to permanently keep them in our classroom.
