My Project

I am an English speaking teacher in a bilingual classroom where the students primary language is Spanish. I perform 100% of my instruction in English but for some students they require additional scaffolding in Spanish to help with their comprehension of the lesson.

Translation tools are important and necessary for multilingual students in a monolingual classroom.

I will use these translation tools to help the students with speaking and writing in the English language. The translation pen tool will be used for small group instruction to ensure the students can complete all activities. The translation tool will be used during whole group instruction and during transition periods when a single instruction needs to be provided to the students.
