My Project

I am an early childhood special educator. My students are 3 and 4 years old with speech and language delays, many of whom are on the Autism Spectrum, many students families also speak English as a second language. My students learn best when visual aids are provided, such as these story activity sets that go with many of the books in my classroom. These fun and engaging pieces will help to elicit language and keep the attention of my little ones. In our class, we are learning to pay attention and learn in a school setting, and all of the items in my cart will help them to do just that!

The story cart will help me to present books and materials to students and leave my hands free for student support and redirection.

It will store the books along with their storytelling pieces to keep them organized for when we come together as a group. These manipulative pieces will hold my students' attention and support their language acquisition. language skills, in a special education Pre-K classroom.
