My Project

My students are a diverse group of enthusiastic preschool learners. They are very international - we have students from India, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Guyana, Trinidad, Jamaica, Mexico, Colombia and many more fabulous countries.

This project will help provide hands-on lessons and activities to foster my students' language development and literacy skills.

I am an Early Childhood Literacy Teacher. Many of our students require extra sensory input in order to comprehend concrete content. Three, four and five-year-olds learn best with materials they can touch and manipulate - I cannot simply print worksheets for them! Therefore, this project is extremely important for their development. I’ve included wooden pegboard construction sets to foster their knowledge of the shapes of letters and numerals, tracing boards to help guide their little fingers along letter shapes and letter matching egg puzzles to develop their spatial awareness.
