Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are working hard to remove themselves from the cycle of low socio economic circumstances that they were born into. They have joined a magnet program in the hopes of achieving academic success to move onto financially and emotionally rewarding careers or post secondary education.

I would like to provide them with an environment that calms and relaxes them to absorb knowledge and creativeness.

My class is lit up by harsh lights of fluorescent bulbs in our classes along with and colored cinder block walls that are not conducive to a calm and welcoming educational environment. These LED floor lamps will allow me to control the intensity and effect of lighting to promote mental and physical well being in my classroom.
