My Students

My 3rd graders are inquisitive, caring, hardworking students. My class is in a high-need, low-income public school, nestled in the heart of Southern California. Some of their favorite things to do are hear stories read to them and go to the science lab on a weekly basis.

I encourage each child in my class to do their best in all they do, even when school is a challenge for them.

I do my best to ensure that every student has a place to feel like they can try new things and explore both academically and socially.

My Project

Many posters and signs created for a classroom last much longer when laminated. It will help reduce our carbon footprint by allowing these things to be reused year after year. Also, laminating sheets can be written on with erasable markers and reused so both students and the teacher can fill out worksheets like math problems over and over again. We use "calendar math" that's covered with laminate on a daily basis so we don't have to waste paper.

A laminator with refills will enable us to preserve student artwork, especially pastels and chalk projects.

The students and their parents will enjoy seeing their work for years to come. Thank you for helping us!
