Keeping an organized, attractive, and efficient learning environment is key to student success. That is why I am requesting a laminating machine for my classroom. I am a 2nd grade teacher at an inner city charter school. The majority of my students qualify for free or reduced school lunch, most come from single family homes, and are at risk emotionally and academically. In addition, I have several special education students who need a lot of time and support.

A laminating machine is essential in an elementary school classroom. My school used to have one and we would use it to make learning materials such as games and book marks, keep student work clean, and make bulletin boards attractive. Our laminating machine broke several months ago and the school cannot afford a new one. We have been lost without it!

With a new laminating machine, we will be able to make student book marks, math games that can be used from year to year, sight word flash cards, bulletin boards, and book covers.
