I teach first grade in Washington DC. This coming school year I will have 20 adorable six year olds.

In a extremely under-resourced school, it is hard to find materials. So, as a first year teacher, I end up making a lot of them. Unfortunately, six year olds are not always as careful as we might want them to be! So my creations of paper and posterboard often take a beating.

A laminating machine would help me preserve materials like word puzzles, character props, letter cards, math flashcards, and so much more. This would allow for more learning time for the children, and more actual teaching time for me. I would also be able to preserve some of the children's own work in this way, which would be so very special.

You can help me to make our classroom materials last longer and provide more learning opportunities for my students. My students and I thank you in advance.
