This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Why remake or replace damaged materials when you can reuse conserved ones? Help us conserve our materials and our work!

My students attend a school for the Deaf in New York, which specializes in meeting the specific needs of Deaf students and provides them direct access to information.

My students take in and process information mostly through their visual sense and learn best when they can see what they are learning. Visual aids and materials are therefore a huge asset to them.

My Project

I am requesting a laminating machine and laminating pouches to help conserve visual aids and materials, which my students use on a daily basis. With a tight school budget on our hands materials are becoming sacred. Remaking or replacing visual aids and materials can become costly, a cost that a tight budget cannot afford. A laminator and laminating pouches will help conserve those materials, which will help my visual learners and our school.

This project will not only impact my students this year, it will impact my next year students and the students after that year and so on.

That is the beauty of lamination, it will conserve resourceful materials for years to come. As an added bonus, my students will be able to conserve their work as well and have lasting proof of their outstanding work.
