This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 1st - 5th grade special needs students. Our classroom consists of students with different abilities. My students come from a very low-income area of town. This area is high poverty and most, if not all, of the students, fall far below the poverty line. My school is a Title I school where all of the children receive free breakfast and lunch.
The students I work with love to learn and love the feeling of accomplishment when they acquire a goal!
We are asking for donations to full fill some basic yet essential classroom supplies. The laminating sheets are used to laminate visual icons and schedules so that they may last the whole school year and we don't need to be printing and replacing over and over. This item will allow us to maximize learning time and get the most out of our time together.
