My Students
I am an elementary school physical education teacher in New York. My objective is to allow my students to become independent and learn new skills. This project will help all the students in this school have access to a variety of books and become passionate readers.
My students are in Kindergarten and first grade, they are very motivated to experience new things.
We would love to have the best possible classroom libraries for them this year. Our students are energetic and love to participate in movement activities. They are fascinated by new experiences and we would like to thank you in advance again for any and all contributions.
My Project
This project will help our students gain appropriate materials to have laminated vocabulary words that will help them with their literacy​ skills. We will first start by working on our words of the week. Once we have a laminator we can help maintain our words so they do not get crumpled up or ripped.
The laminator will be used for our lessons and word walls.
For example, I have a lesson about Health and nutrition where the students have to match food or drinks to the proper food groups. We laminate pictures and put Velcro on them to be able to stick/match to the chart of the five food groups.
The students will enjoy seeing any work they do or the words we use laminated and put up on bulletin boards for all to see. We would like to thank you for all of your help!
