Lakeshore Classroom Rug for Optional Seating and Gathering!

Help me give my students optional seating with a Lakeshore classroom rug for gathering time and choice time! The lamps will help illuminate the room as well.

My Project

Optional seating allows for student autonomy! Currently, my students have some options for seating, but this gathering rug would allow for comfortable seating for character development morning meetings as well as a large area to use with clipboards and the scoops and discs that we currently have available.

When the students are able to have more choices in the area of the room and seating that they prefer, they are far more engaged and less disruptive.

Students will also use the rug to set boundaries of space during brain break time (wiggle and body movement time). Our previous rug was many years old and a replacement was necessary.

The lamps will add illumination in our room, especially on cloudy days and in darker areas of the room, as we only have windows on one side of the room.
